God With Us

On Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus. His birth represents the birth  of love itself into the world. This is the love through which all creation was put into place, a love without beginning nor end, a love so unchanging and complete it is beyond all emotions or moods, a love which paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we might be reconciled to God, through our faith. This is the love of God.

This Christmas, let us take time to remember with gratitude of  the miracle of Immanuel, God with us.

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.  -Isaiah 7:14 (ESV)

For God so loved the world, he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. -John 3:16 (ESV)

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. -John 15:16 (ESV)

In his the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.  In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. – 1 John 4:9-10 (ESV)
God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. – John 4:16 (ESV)
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. – 1 John 7 (ESV)
