Take Refuge in the Lord

There are more than 3500 promises in the Bible. These promises cover all topics and circumstances. These promises tell us about the  Lord and His care and concern for us.  The promises are unfailing and have stood from  generation to generation.  Through Christ, the promises found in the Scripture can becomes a prayer and a benediction. Remember the Lord and call upon His Holy Name. Take time with Scripture and reflect on these promises. They will become a blessing for your life. When you are discouraged or saddened, when life seems uncertain, look to the Lord, who is the source of all mercy and compassion.

Look to the Lord and you will find comfort and counsel.

The Lord formed us in the womb and knew us before we were born. We are precious to the Lord. We are fearfully and wonderfully made.(Psalm 139, Jeremiah 1:5)

The Lord is the doer of all things. (Genesis 1-31, Isaiah 45:7)

The Lord fulfills His promises. (Joshua 21:45, Psalm 89:34, Isaiah 40:8, 55:11)

The Lord is our shepherd and will gathers us to Him. (Ezekiel 34:11, Psalm 23, John 10:11, Matthew 6:31)

The Lord hears us when we call and we will find the Lord when we seek Him with all our heart. (Deuteronomy 4:29, Jeremiah 29:13, Matt 7:7, 1 Peter 5:7, Prov 8:17, Psalm 32:6)

The Lord instructs us and watches over us. (Psalm 32:6, John 14:26)

The Lord draws near to us when we draw near him. (James 4:8)

The Lord is our refuge and our shelter. (Psalm 18, Psalm 32:7, Psalm 71:3, Psalm 119:14, Psalm 91, Isaiah 12:12)

The Lord provides rest, peace, and joy. (Deuteronomy 16:15,Psalm 23, Matthew 11:30, John 14:7,  John 15:11, John 16:33, Philippians 4:7, Romans 14:17)

The Lord is our strength. (Psalm 10:17, Psalm 28:7, 2 Cor 12:19, Philippians 4:13)

The Lord is good and merciful are His works. (Psalm 145:9, Jeremiah 1:5, 2 Samuel 22:51, Philippians 2:13, James 1:17)

The Lord is our light and our salvation. We are redeemed. (Psalm 137, Psalm 27, Psalm 18 , Isaiah  43:1, Luke 1:68, Isaiah 51:14, John 8:12,  Isaiah 2:5, Isaiah 42:6, John 12:46, Luke 2:32)

The Lord has granted every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 1:3)

The Lord will test us. (Deuteronomy 13:3, Psalm 66:10, Psalm 11:4, James 1:12)

The Lord will abide in those who keep His commandments. (Matthew 19:17, John 15:10)

The Lord will never forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:18, Joshua 1:5, Joshua 1:9. Psalm 9:10, Hebrews 13.5, Matthew 28:20, John 14:16)
